[ILUG] networking issues [resolving]

[ILUG] networking issues [resolving]

There was a bit of a discussion about this recently here
http://www.linux.ie/pipermail/ilug/2005-June/026252.html
and also on the BUGI mailing list
http://lists.redbrick.dcu.ie/pipermail/bugi/2004-March/000509.htm
Opinion is split on whether it's a problem with the netopia or Eircom
(I'm sure someone will correct me).
As I understand it you have two options:
1) Disable ipv6 on your linux box by adding the following to the
bottom of your /etc/modprobel.conf
alias net-pf-10 off
2) Use a different nameserver. I have a local caching DNS server
running on my laptop.
