Could you ask him to write a more specific e-mail about what he wants
to do - there's a few of us who do semi-professional level audio work on
Linux (myself included) and I know I'd be happy to discuss various
points with him if he tells me what he means by music editting (it's
such a wide field.)
Let me know if he means MIDI, multi-track, sequencing, mastering,
composition, notation, etc. and maybe I (or someone else on list) can
help him out :-)
