[ILUG] OTish question.

[ILUG] OTish question.

Hi,

I have EsatBT Broadband Plus with the Zyxel modem. I have a NetGear
switch which allows me to connect 3 PCs (2xFC4 and 1xWinXP) , an Apple
iBook and a laptop (currently FC2 but moving to another flavour). All
devices work well so far with wireless (b and g) at other sites.

I would like to replace the Zyxel with a cable modem/router/wireless
device. So I would have just one device and not an add-on that would
depend on the Zyxel.

I want a situation where the two PCs can use a wired connection and
the laptop and iBook a wireless.

I have been looking at the following as possible candidates (but am
still searching):

http://www.netgear.com/products/details/DG834G.php

http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=6

So, what I would like to know is.....

There must be others with the same provider who have a similar setup,
what have their experiences been? Have you had any problems so far?
Have any of the products listed above given hassles with the EsatBt
connection? Are there any "gotchas" I should be looking out for?

Thanks in advance,

B.
