[ILUG] kprint error

I have got an annoying problem with kprint. Two of my users get consistent 
crashes and can't print through kprint. They get an error from knotify saying 
that the cupsdoprint..... statement failed but their is no error message with 
it. Other users can print from the same computers and the affected clients 
can print if they avoid kprint - so the cups server seems to be OK. I tried 
removing their .kde directory and logging them back in with the defaults but 
got the same problem. Any ideas where else to look? Are their some kprint 
settings hidden somewhere? The only difference I can see between the affected 
user and the others is that the two affected users are new employees.

The system affected is Mandrake 2005LE but they had the same issue with 
Mandrake 10.1.
