Just curious, but given how easy it is to generate PDF's, why is 
there such a need to be able to generate word docs?

Word has to be about the worst format out there. Rife with 
incompabilities, bloated, so hacked to bits that not even Microsoft 
know all the details (Caolan ended up /telling/ them how their 
formats worked, they referred to his writeups and Wv on some MS 
techdoc site iirc).

Really, *why* would anyone want to use Word?
