Actually - my D600 has no problems at all with suspend/resume/power
management etc (centrino 1.6 blahblahblah) it's also dual-boot with XP
(well - it is paid for by the job, who seem to require it! ) Bog
standard install of Ubuntu (all hail the hypnotoad) works out of the box
!
