For the Dell Inspiron 510m:
The ipw2200 chipset has its own project and works well.

The bluetooth works out of the box, as do the display, SpeedStep and sound card.
The modem is a Connexant thing, $15 will get you a functioning driver from
the Linuxant people.
I haven't quite figured out the suspend/resume mojo properly or the TV-out
piece, and I have yet to work out if it can handle unpluging the DVD drive
tidily.
There has also been a periodic freeze and go fuzzy issue, but I haven't
seen that since I built a vanilla kernel.
