I know this is a Linux list, and I generally support the use of a
Linux distro over Windows, but I don´t think there is much point in
having him use linux just because everyone else is.
He can install the same SW apps as the rest of the office(eg
OpenOffice), perhaps using cygwin if necessary.
I also wouldn't have the overhead of admining samba for one user. Let
him use Services for Unix, or some other way of connecting to your
Linux network.
