Yes Michele, people feel that the site, http://www.linux.ie is lacking content.
Nobody has volunteered content for it in a very long time. I have pointed this
out numerous times and that people are not explicitly writing for the main
website. This is what the whole topic of this thread is about.

The linux.ie 'merchandise', the baseball caps, fleeces and t-shirts mentioned 
elsewhere, are emblazoned with "linux.ie", which expands out to 
http://www.linux.ie in any web browser, not http://blogs.linux.ie or 
http://planet.linux.ie . This is why I think it is especially important that
the main site is not seen to be stagnant. 

Yes, it might be an idea to selectively reproduce some content from members' 
personal blogs on http://www.linux.ie , naturally with the authors permission,
but I think it would be best if content was written primarily for the main site.
