Well not all Irish IPs are in RIPE. Some Irish webhosters on ARIN space
have the subnets that have the country code for Ireland but appear as
being US or CA on those "ip to location" databases because the sellers
of those things build their db from delegated ranges data instead of the
more closely held whois data.
The relevance, grasping at straws somewhat, would be in setting up
Apache (or any other prog/daemon) to allow access from only Irish IPs.
