The PDF viewer aspect of evince is actually xpdf V3. It seems evince 
will sport many similar features to vastly upgraded PDF view for KDE, 
KPDF. It's currently part of KDE 3.4 beta and, from using everyday, 
it's quite nice. It is also based on xpdf V3 and includes items such as 
text selection, presentation mode, watch file, full screen, table of 
contents,  zoom, search, thumbnails and many optimisations. Some

I came across the Adobe site recently and I noticed that they are 
producing a new Acrobat Reader for Linux. It is currently in beta but I 
_think_ you need to register for testing. It seems to have a commenting 
capability:
