Maybe the point is that Apple are a Microsoft rival (in the desktop PC
game at least) and employees of Microsoft are sleeping with the enemy by
using these iPods.
Or maybe it's that 80% of Microsoft employees like to embrace DRM. Or
that they can't recognise an inferior product. I mean, you'd think if
you pay that much they could at least chuck in a decent pair of earphones :)
