I would suggest booting with W2K Recovery Console, issuing FIXBOOT and
FIXMBR commands and then, once rebooted Linux using a floppy/CD because of
FIXMBR, rerunning LILO.
Anyway, before doing that, be sure hda1 is marked as active partition.
