What exactly do you want to do?
On FC (since FC2 at least i think), when you build RPMs you will get
a <name>-debuginfo RPM which contains the debuggable binaries/libs
along with source. If you install that rpm, GCC knows how to find
them if you try debug the original stripped binary..
