Hi All,
I am really surprised by this. Most successfull re-sellers I know will
talk to any business with >5 PCs and anybody with cash. They know most
products from most vendors (if thay are good and thus successfull) or
they know the name of the TC (Technical Consultant) from that vendor.
In my experience, they are flogging this stuff daily and the
distributors have nomiated people who can answer all but the weirdest
questions off the cuff.
I don't work for a re-seller/distributor, I used to work for a
manufacturer. I did get people hassling me because they wanted to buy
a Y-splitter for a laptop as if it was 1 milliom dollar deal, and they
were unable to look at the website. But all requests were answered
within a day (sometimes rather late at night).
Shop around......
B.

It's worth noting at this point that the _professionals_ who have
various impressive looking cars driving around our fair capital... don't
email inconsequential customers like me back to confirm/deny or just
tell you to get stuffed... while a quick uncle google for "proliant"
restricting web pages to Ireland yields.
http://www.elara.ie/products/servers.asp?srch=DL+145&anyallexact=all&manu=&type2=&mancode=&Submit=Submit
And only €327.10 over budget....
Which is practically for free if you think about it !
Blessed Elara[1]... website is asp though !
[1] No I'm not employed by Elara systems.
