When transferring files to and from my girlfriend's and my computers I notice
that if I start a transfer from my girlfriend's computer I get speeds of up
to 3mb/sec whereas if the transfer is started on my comp I generally get much
slower speeds...
Both computers run Debian Sid, although my computer is a 533mhz celeron and my
girlfriend's a 2.3ghz Athlon...
Normally I use the fish protocol in Konqueror to do the file transfers.
Anybody have any ideas about what could be going on? If there is a bottleneck
somewhere, surely transfers instantiated from both computers should be
equally effected...
