firefox + mozex lets you easily edit textareas with any editor you want -
vim being my choice.  some nice souls on wikipedia created a
Wikipedia.vim syntax highlighting file.  more info on it here:

while the syntax highlighting is nice, it would also be nice to have
folding as well.  unfortunately my attempts at folding result in syntax
highlighting haven't worked.  i'm about to go catch a train so i thought
i'd pick people's brains before i left!  so this is what i've managed so
far:
