As Colm pointed out, this is old news. You won't have a problem if you
type the URL into the address bar rather then relying on links from
SPAM e-mails, etc.

Yes and it's under discussion here:
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98788

which also gives a description of the problem.

I do John. And I'll run for cover too! All (or I should say most just in
case) of Firefox's features have existed in other browsers for years.
Also, using other browsers, and I'll use Konqueror here as it was
already mentioned, can be a far more user-friendly experience as they
are fully integrated into the desktop allowing the use of the desktop's
full resources. e.g. Konqueror as a file manager, browser, universal
viewer (using KGhostview to view PS files in the browser for example
and the same goes for text files (Kate-part), PDF's (KGhostview again
or KPDF), archives (Ark), etc, etc.)). Firefox as a browser is a nice
browser but it's only a browser.

Not that I wouldn't take my hat off to the publicity it has gotten and
the hugh value it has added to the average Joe's knowledge of open and
free software.
