I don't like Konq at all for http, but occasionally use it if I have a
window open. It's nice for ftp. That said, I like Firefox about as much.
I try Firefox/Thunderbird every few months - it hasn't worked for me yet
(the programs function as intended - it just doesn't "work" for me) so
I'm sticking with the Mozilla suite.
Here's a thing... I did install Firefox and Thunderbird on my brother's
Windows box. I remember thinking "Ooooh! These aren't bad" which led me
to try them on my Slack box. Simply awful. Are these better apps on
Windows or do they just look better juxtaposed with the fugly
environment? :)
