mmhm... I don't pay a single cent if not via SSL.
SSL needs certificates.
Certificates with the CN of the site inside.
Released by a certification authority.
That (usually) investigate on the identity of the requester.

I think I'm secure enough - as long as I don't click on "OK" all the time
on certificate-related question windows and use a bit of common sense.
