[ILUG] Linux/UNIX certification

[ILUG] Linux/UNIX certification

Unless of course the exam specifically states that you're to install X, as it did with mine :P

I used this book and found it excellent:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0072253657/qid=1108745266/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-7247680-7557407

You need to have a lot of Redhat specific knowledge - i.e. know their tools and configurations inside out.

Know how to fix a broken system - you must get 100% in your troubleshooting section.

FYI, the next exam is the 8th of April. I just did the RHCT exam before so hopefully I'll be on this one to
finish the RHCE.

All I can say is:

Do not install X or any gui-fied apps or you will simply run out of time
during the practicals. Time is an issue.
