[ILUG] Eclipse on Redhat9 / GTK upgrade

[ILUG] Eclipse on Redhat9 / GTK upgrade

Howdy,

I'm more of a BSD head, so i'm not used to dealing with the Redhat RPM's, and it's driving me crazy!!!

I want to install Eclipse IDE, but i'm getting errors on startup and the program crashes and tells me to check the *.log files. I'm assuming it's because i have gtk+-1.2.10-25 and not 2.2.x (statesd as a requirment on the eclipse webpage)

What is the best way to upgrade this? I've tried to do the rpm thing but they're hard 2 find and it seems i need to install about 15 other RPM's to get this working?

Am i way off? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have gtk2-2.2.1-4 installed. Is that the same as gtk+ ?
