Hi,
I've been trying to convert the family over to linux so I installed
firefox, thunderbird and open office on our windows pc to get them
used to these apps. The idea being that I could switch the OS and
since the same apps were there they wouldn't even notice ! Then I
discovered after getting linux installed that the only driver for the
Conexant modem that came with the pc doesn't work under 2.6 and that
it isn't free, and I think it only works at 14.4 Kbps too if you
download the trial/evaluation version. Anyone know of a way around
this or have any spare working modems lying around ?
Thanks,
Rob
