Hi Robert !

The good news is that you won't go far wrong with the Dell - at this
stage a reasonably up-to-date kernel and X setup should give you enough
to keep mobile for quite a while. 

Suspend to RAM is reasonably straightforward to get working these days -
which is very useful ... especially if you're out-and-about a lot.

Oh - if you're not overly fussed about the spec - look in the Dell
Outlet Store, there's a chance you'll get a better bargain on a Latitude
(overall better laptops !)
