Hi Robert,
Your options are fairly limited with this modem. You could use a 2.4
series kernel and try to find what's known as the "Last free-of-charge
Conexant linux drivers". I've used this with Mandrake - worked fine. I
think you need pcitools installed to use the setup scripts.
I would recommend trying to pick up a serial modem. They're expensive
(unless you get lucky) but they'll work with anything with an RS232 port
capable of sustaining a TCP/IP stack... It'll also serve you well in the
future given the dialup age shows no signs of dying in Europe's e-Hub.
