I had it working on debian-3.0 last year, and AFAIR there was an issue
with how you started it. You need to have the eclipe dir in your path,
or it crashed.
I'm not certain if this was eclipse or netBeans with the issue, it was
last year and I was only looking at a few IDE's. But I definitely had
it working on debian
