Maybe you should give them their dues for providing SOME alternative to the
status quo.

But then again maybe I'm waffling on too much again and boring you into
replying with more condescending remarks and assumptions about people with
foreign sounding names.

Apologies to this mailing list for going off topic.....I'll go back to
reading posts form now on.

What exactly are you waffling on about here?

Who said they did? I've scanned through my mail several times and not
once can I find anywhere that says anyone (let alone everyone) wants to
know the technical details of a product. However some people actually
do. It would be nice if making a product userfriendly didn't seem to
involve removing the flexibility of the system and hiding the "technical
details" from everyone.

Is English your first language? I wasn't calling anyone a dumb end user,
you are. In fact I was saying quite the opposite. Quit latching onto
random keywords and replying to them and actually read the context as
well. I'm talking about the assumption that your users are in fact dumb
and aiming a product explicitly at stupidity rather than at a balanced
range of users.
