I don't know of any utility currently out there to do it - although I'm
sure if one exists you'll get pointers galore to it shortly ...

I would however suggest looking at the 'refrigerator' code from swsusp
(swsusp.sf.net IIRC) the Software-Suspend code for Linux which
essentially does that for the entire machine - including kernel.

Might be worth a poke !
