Folks,
I know I have plagued the list a bit re the software patent debate and I
just want to say a quick thanks to my fellow campaigners for the many
hours spent on this, to those that helped me out behind the scene and
especially to those that got involved in the democracy that we have by
e-mail, writing, phoning and lobbying their MEPs.
>From the comments of some of the MEPs it's clear that they did listen to
what we had to say and took a lot of it on board when drafting their
press releases and EP speeches.
A directive which actually prevented software patenting would have been
great but, failing that, I'll happily take what we got.
Cheers,
Barry
