You could go with one of the free web providers, yahoo, or some kind.
Of course there'd be ads on the site, you're URL is something like
http://yahoo.com/group/name, as opposed to name.ie. You also would not
have as much web hosting space (most of the free ones are around 20
MB), you'd only have 1 email address.
This might suit your needs. Being free is nice.
