	My best guess is that you have field codes turned on, rather than their
resultant output. You may find that when you PRINT your document, it
substitutes the page number, or number of pages for the respective
fields. (This is what the fields are there for.)

	I suggest trying to right click one of the fields ( {PAGE} for example)
and from the context menu, select 'Toggle Field Codes'

	This might solve your problem.

	obLinux: Ctrl + F9 toggles the field codes in Open Office Writer and
the same functionality is available as a toggle menu item under "View |
Fields."
