Greetings, people of ILUG.
Despite a relatively poor showing in this mornings, "which distro is
best" could-have-been-flamefest, as yet there exists still an unresolved
dispute over which distro indeed has the biggest, 'ardest handbag
wielding accolades, somebody, somewhere recently suggested we resort to
guns to settle the argument... well, like men really. Some LUG members
have even intimated a passing interest in such an event !
In line with this, I've sent www.skirmish.ie a series of emails graphing
what the pricing and reservations structure for a distro paintball-fest
would be.
For <=24 players, the price per head on a Saturday/Sunday is €40.
For >=25 players, the price per head is €35.
I'm fully prepared to make all necessary reservations with skirmish on
behalf of a group of ILUG people.
What is necessary to accomplish this is a) People of ILUG deciding on a
date b) you people emailing me with your intent to go on said day (once
decided) c) a decision being taken as to whether or not mass transit is
required (is it possible to use public/private transport for this?)
It's worth noting that skirmish will allow a variance of perhaps 2
people, after which the organiser, probably me in this case, will have
to fork out the difference, so, if you are registering your intent to
participate, please actually arrive or inform me <=24 hours previously
of your inability to participate.
Considering the last event happened on a Sunday *and* the fact that the
bang for the buck is in fact, better on a Sunday morning, my own
suggestion for a date/time is Sunday week, the 24 of July. Also, the
company confirms that this date is available.

Come back with suggestions.
