You couldn't keep your number until the FMNP stuff was all sorted out.
There were how many years before it was activated? Give it time and
they'll sort it out in the courts, given that COMREG seem somewhat
ineffectual (it would seem to me to be interesting that the electricity
regulator, while they haven't got the system deregulated yet, is going
about things in a very different manner, and seeming to get some results).

yes. everyone who has applied for SMART broadband is aware of it.

No it isn't. It's to do with Broadband and telcos. There are, shock
horror, forums and mailing lists where it is appropriate to complain
about things like that. I think maybe IIU if it still exists, or even
boards.ie, even though half the ilug members think boards is for moaners
and over expectors.
