[ILUG] First CD in SUSE 9.3 install.. not booting.

Hi all,
I have recently acquired for the price of 2 cans of red bull a nice
fresh copy of Suse 9.3
However (through no malice on the providers part I'm sure) The first
CD is not booting.
Everything seems to be there.

I had a go using FRESH DOWNLOAD (the only download tool I have managed
to get to work with Mozilla Firefox) to get the first CD again from
Novell but it keeps dropping and states a time of 5+ hours..!!
This in itself is odd because I have a 2Mb line with IrishBB

The question is how do I re burn the CD to make it boot?
Or how do I get something running that I can then use to initialise
the install.?

I have a copy of Knoppix someplace to throw into the equation.
Now I think of it I might even still have a copy of Suse 9.0
evaluation from a magazine..
Also a copy of the first 3 Mandrake 10.1 CDs (there are 4 I believe)
And a copy of UBCD win.

Oh yes Running win xp but have separate HDD for Linux.
(note the use of lowercase "x" and "p" as a sign of trying to make it
less central to my computing life.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

P.S.
My hat is rased with respect to Steph (FRlinux). As we say over here
"A gentleman and a scholar"

Thanks Steph.
