I don't know Paul Mc Auley personally, but my impression is that he's 
someone who has shown some ability to use punctuation intelligibly, trim 
posts, not contradict himself, not bring details of peoples' personal 
life on-list, and not spew vast amounts of irrelevant crap on the list.

Just what else is it that you feel the need to know, exactly?
