[ILUG] Dell All-in-One A940 on SuSE?

Hi,

I am trying to configure a Dell All-in-One A940 for Linux.

All functions work as expected on Windows.

The environment is:
* SuSE Professional 9.0
* kernel 2.4.21-291
* KDE 3.1.4
* cups-1.1.19-100
* USB printer on /dev/usb/lp0

According to linuxprinting.org, cups.org, easysw.com and Google, Dell
A940 is a rebranded Lexmark X125. Some results suggest X5150.

Dell forums do not have clear information about the exact Lexmark
counterpart.

The searches are clear about the scanner: not supported on linux.
sane-project.org
It is not critical for my current needs.

I have downloaded the PPD and followed the installation steps
http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Lexmark-X125

I have tried both /dev/null (as suggested) and /dev/usb/lp0

The print test page does not generate output.

No luck with KDEPrint as well.

Has anyone successfully configured a similar printer?

I am sure I am overlooking or missing something.
All suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Breno
