Hi all,
I'm going out on a lim here.. win 2000 fell over on a PC here at work.
I thought Na I'm not going to sit through an hour os so of that this
week so I gave a short term solution but throwing in a Knoppix CD.
Worked a treat for the Internet access :-)
Now I'd like to install it on the hard drive. (formatting and all)
Have been rooting around the various bits of documentation but cant
find what I'm looking for.
Also cant find the KDE GUI tool to play with the HDD.
After the install I will need to set up the printer.
Getting the PC to view the files on the server is not the most
important but it would be nice too.
The questions are these:
-Am I barking up the wrong tree altogether?
It is something I would love to be able to do anyway in the future so
the learning thing would be good. But would I be better off with a
copy of DSL or a full install of something else.
-Can anyone point me in the right direction for how to go about it.
Documentation and basic hints.
Oh what is the bloody default root password!!
Thanks for your time
Frederick
