As far as I understand it ReiserFS4 has *full* data journaling...
though, it still concatonates files together...
The point though is that metadata as part of the file system is included
in the design.
Deciding on *what* is meta data is best left to userspace tools and is
an ill definable topic.
The notion of WinFS, in itself, is nothing more then a google killer for
the desktop... to stop Microsoft being out flanked by Google supplied
search and retrival tools on the Windows desktop.
My prediction :
