Yes, it looks like it's a passive mode issue.
So, next question: is there a way to force passive mode to be on from the
server side? Reason is that I use Bookmarks Synchroniser extension for
Firefox to keep bookmarks in sync across a few machines, and this ftps to
my server to upload/download my bookmarks file. I don't know how to force
this to use passive mode.
