Yes yes, this is old at this stage.
The guys who run that site are obvious lamers, Its not like gentoo folk go
around taking the piss of debian and its clones, which believe me is a very easy
thing to do.
Portage is perfect for 64 bit, you would be best off compiling all your own
software for it anyway, considering customisation is all the more important for
64 arch. Alos gentoo 64 has a whole load of nice tweaks, check it out before u
dish it.
