I did do the ubuntu-calendar install, when it was randomly dropped into
conversation the other day... and was /sharply/ disappointed not to
find, said pictures available immediately as backgrounds... then I
thought it was a LUG joke I hadn't been getting.

/usr/share/backgrounds you say ?
