Gentoo's really good on x86_64, and may people are very happy with it.
I should mention, though, that the Debian "sarge" release (current
"stable" branch), although technically still "unofficial" through the
current cycle as a question of Debian bureaucracy^Wgovernance, is
functionally very well supported.
