[ILUG] FC3 update gone bad

[ILUG] FC3 update gone bad

HI Daragh,
Looks like your security enhanced linux configuration got toasted.
The best thing to do is to download and apply the latest
selinux-policy available from the FC mirrors.

You can of course switch off selinux altogether just to rule it out.
To do this edit /etc/selinux/config and put SELINUX=disabled, and reboot.

If you are currently so hosed that you cannot even edit this file, you
can add the parameter selinux=0 to your boot command and it will
disable for this session.

Selinux gives your system more security, so it is advised not to
switch it off. I'm mainly suggesting it in order to see if this is
your problem.

For more information on all of this go to
http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq-fc3/index.html

HTH
Dermot.
