Let me enlighten you there - the niche it fills is the one in the Linux
world which corresponds to that filled by overclockers in the PC
hardware enthusiast world. A lot of time and effort expended for a very
small return, but if they (overclockers and Gentoo users) enjoy the
journey, who are we to gainsay them.
