Hello all,
this is a little off-topic (To say the least).
The background:
I'm attempting to get a DSL line into my house. I had eircom come out
today (at about 3 p.m., after they said that they'd be there
between 9 and 11 a.m.).
The technician looked around and then announced that since there is no
copper going into my house from the outside, someone is going to have to
either
A. Dig a trench, or
B. Use a hydraulic borer to excavate a channel in order to pull
copper through to the house.
Obviously, i don't want to spend an arm and a leg doing this, can anyone
recommend either a good contractor to do this or some other method?
(I can't use wireless broadband, I already checked with several
broadband companies).
