[ILUG] EU constitution

[ILUG] EU constitution

Bernhard Rohrer graylion at sm-wg.net
Tue Mar 8 12:35:57 GMT 2005

ok folks

I've put togtether a few sources:

a blow-by-blow explanation of what is going on:

http://europa.eu.int/scadplus/constitution/index_en.htm

if you look here

http://europa.eu.int/scadplus/constitution/procedures_en.htm

I don't see a strengthening of the council - I see a strengthening of
the EU against individual nations through the bridging decisions, as
they reduce the options for a national veto.

The full text of the constitution is here:

http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/lex/JOHtml.do?uri=OJ:C:2004:310:SOM:EN:HTML

cheers

Bernhard
