As a matter of interest, I tried unsuccessfully to access
the free Eircom hotspot near the Pavilion Theatre in Dun Laoghaire.
I could "see" the WiFi source with iwconfig.
But how exactly is one meant to access such a source?
What ESSID should one give?
Is one meant to register the MAC address of the WiFi card with Eircom?
Is there an encryption key?
