[ILUG] [OT] Timetable Creation

Hi all,

        I'm trying to create a little program in C or maybe even
better a little web page in PHP that can accept inputs of a number of
students details and then automatically sort them and create a
timetable based on certain criteria/requirements. Does anyone know of
any programs or php scripts that already do this sort of thing ? There
is also already a file containing all of the details but it's an MS
Access file. Is there a way to read the input directly from the file
rather than having to manually type in each entry ? Any good sites on
PHP also since I've only  a small bit of experience with it ?
