[ILUG] Bibliography Reference Manager: Linux & WinXP

[ILUG] Bibliography Reference Manager: Linux & WinXP

Hi,

I am looking for a bibliography manager that runs on both WinXP and
Linux environments. In WinXP the bibliography manager must be able to
inter-operate with MS Office 2003. In Linux, its must be compatible with
BibTeX and openOffice. Ideally, I must be able to move my bibliography
database back and forth between Linux and WinXP without changing
anything (close to just copying the ref db file). A BibTeX-based
bibliography manager thats compatible with MS Office 2003 and openOffice
will exactly match what I need. I work in both WinXP and Linux
environments to facilitate collaboration with others who are mainly
WinXP users.

Although openOffice has an inbuilt refence database , I do not find it
easy to use as a reference manager. A user-friendly reference manager
for openOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/) seems to be still an
on-going project (http://bibliographic.openoffice.org/).

Any pointers and suggestions.
