Redhat/Fedora are compiled with -mcpu=i686 - this affects instruction
scheduling, but doesn't affect ABI/instructions used (ie the rpm's
will still be .i386). Certain stuff is compiled with -march=i686 (eg
glibc) because those few packages actually can make good use of i686
instructions.
